This is for any aspiring folk herbalist interested in learning the basics of home remedies.

We will meet local medicine plants, explore common minor health ailments and their herbal allies, and learn about plant extracts.
Alongside this, we will cover the science and philosophy behind formulating (combining plants together for potentiating effect).

This is going to outdoors and indoors at the lovely Fraser Common Farm. We will be wandering through forests and meadows and spending most of our discussion time in the sun, among the medicines.

Price: $30; Length: 4 hours.

This workshop is hosted by Mara Cur of Crow’s Nest Wildcraft, a rewilding project. Mara’s herbal medicine education was at the Portland School of Traditional Western Herbalism and the Wild Seed School of Herbal Studies. She runs a small herbal practice based out of Cortes Island, BC.

This workshop is wheelchair accessible and scent-free.

Fraser Common Farm is a cooperatively-run family farm in Aldergrove, BC, on Kwantlen traditional territory. We gather to learn as guests on this land.
